Jaden Hoyles was one of the recurring characters of the Netflix's series, Daybreak. He is portrayed by Rob H. Roy.

He was initially a survivor suspected of being the savage and cannibalistic Baron Triumph; however this was eventually found to be false, and Hoyles was actually one of Triumph's victims.

Pre-Apocalypse

Prior to the apocalypse, Hoyles had a negative relationship with Michael Burr and school in general. He was failing the majority of his classes which posed a risk for his career in football. He was revealed to have also been held back a few times because of it. Burr brought in his parents, who were wealthy business owners, for a meeting. The meeting didn't go well, and Hoyle's parents attempted to bribe Burr into letting Hoyles off whilst also changing his grade. Burr didn't take the bribe at first, but eventually changed his mind and took the bribe - funding for the school and new equipment.

Believing that he was untouchable with the knowledge of Burr's bribe, Hoyles began acting out. This included terrorising school property, smoking inside the cafeteria, attacking other pupils. At one point, he even had intercourse with a fellow student in the restroom. However, it was later revealed that this was Burr's plan. He knew Hoyles would act way out of line once Burr took the bribe. He wanted Hoyles out of the picture for a long time, but needed evidence to make it happen. When he called Hoyles in, he revealed that he secretly took a recording of him leaving one of the stalls with a student named Isis, right after having sex with her. Because Isis was only 15, and with Hoyles being much older (being a young adult at this point), he essentially committed statutory rape, even if it was consensual. Burr threatened to show this to police as this was sufficient evidence to remove the jock from the school, unless Hoyles would say something degrading, to which he reluctantly did. But as it turned out Burr had already called the police and showed them the evidence (he simply wanted to humiliate Hoyles before he was taken away), and thus Hoyles was arrested afterwards.

Post-Apocalypse

Burr's victim

Following the apocalypse, Burr takes his revenge on Hoyles. Under the guise of Baron Triumph, he kidnaps Hoyles and ties him up, preparing to roast him over an open fire like a pig. These efforts are eventually foiled by Josh Wheeler, however, and Hoyles gets away.

He later attacks Eli Cardashyan, who is under the disguise of Baron Triumph, and stabs him. Eli is fatally wounded and dies moments later. Realising that he has injured the wrong person, Hoyles makes a run for it, but is knock down by a large mutant animal Which He got laid by

. He was later confirmed dead in episode "RIP" of The Only Podcast Left.
