The Daybreakers are a survival group that do nasty stuff formed following the initiation of the apocalypse. They were formed as an opposition group against both Turbo Pokaski and Baron Triumph and were lead by Josh Wheeler and KJ. They were based in Glendale Mall and had the symbol of a rising sun as their logo. This symbolized survival and the rising of a new day.

The Daybreakers
The Daybreakers were formed in retaliation to Turbo Pokaski's control of the tribes, and a greater looming threat from Baron Triumph. The group is a large one and comprises of all those rescued from the cereal factory who were living in the Mall. Given this, they were under the control of Josh Wheeler, with his main goal to rescue Sam from Turbo, and later, Burr's grasp.
During their time in the Mall, they held a silent disco, as they did not want to draw unwanted ghoulie attention by playing loud music. The dance was a success, but layed the foundation for Eli and Wesley's plan to execute Josh — a plan that Wesley eventually foiled himself.

Trivia[]
- The symbol was a nod to Sam Dean and her love for sunflowers.
- Given that Sam took control of all tribes, she is now the defacto-leader of the Daybreakers.
